As a surfer or surf photographer in Hawaii, getting deep inside a wave like this, is like no other experience on earth at least for me anyway as a surfer. The first time I saw this vision while surfing on the N. Shore it touched my soul and I'll never forget the day, the wave or the feeling. It's one of God's greatest gifts to a surfer. I'm glad I can share this vision with you through this photo. It was shot on Kodachrome 64 slide film. I scanned the image and digitally painted, digitally airbrushed and manipulated it to give it a 3D texture.
